About Me
Fine Art Photographer from the beautiful
Island of Puerto Rico currently living and
creating art in Virginia with my wife, 3
year old son and 2 month old daughter.
Graduated from the University of Wisconsin
with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2004. I
work as a Marketing Director for a
beautiful summer camp in Virginia which
allows me the freedom to work on on my art.
“My work is based on my life and what I see
as beautiful and stunning around me. I have
taken a hard look at the world and I try to
let that come through in my
work.”
About This Site
Visual Inspirations started about in April of 2006 as a place to reinspire my fleeting creativity. During this time it has grown into more of a creative sketch book and journal, a place to post things that interest me visually and creatively. Photography being my passion you will see more of its beauty here but from time to time various other stunning imagery will grace the pages of this site.
Equipment & Methodology
The work presented here is usually shot
with a Canon Digital Rebel XT and a variety
of lenses. Occasionally I may work film
based which I haven’t done since I lost
access to a darkroom, very sad I know. I
don’t really like handing my film to anyone
I rather do it all myself and digital
affords me that luxury. Film or digital my
work usually ends up on a computer screen
for some tweaking and final touches or a
complete overhaul. When I point my lens at
something it’s because it caught my eye in
some visual or personal way and I’m
interested in remembering that moment for
ever, it be a beautiful sunset, the
intersting textures on a 100 year old tree,
or the curves of a beautiful body if I can
photograph it I will. What happens after I
shoot it is what you see here I may love it
as is or it may need some touches to really
express what I was thinking at the time.
NOTE:
I
never use Internet Explorer and have never
viewed my site on IE, well that is until
today and it looks terrible. I guess it’s
safe to say that if you have IE this will
not be a pleasant experience. I’ll do my
best to improve upon this little mishap but
in the meantime I’d suggest
Firefox
or for those maclovers out there
Safari.
